Statistics Department

The Statistics Department is established at MMDAs as per Second Schedule of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).

The Department is responsible for the collection, compilation, storage and analysis of data based on standardized formats developed by Ghana Statistical Service. It also promotes Statistical Literacy and Research.

The Statistics Department also provides reliable and responsive statistical services for good governance and development hence providing timely data for incorporation into district, regional and national level statistical analyses.
