The Ahafo Ano South West District Education Directorate in collaboration with the District Education Oversight Committee has launched an inspiring initiative to honor and motivate teachers in the District.

The initiative titled "Best Teacher Award" aims to recognize the dedication and hardwork of Teachers who pay a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of Ahafo Ano South West District.

At the launching on Tuesday June 4, 2024 at the Assembly Hall of Mankranso Senior High School, the District Education Director, Mr. Justin Kwesi Gbotor underscored the importance of expressing gratitude to teachers and non-teaching staff for their tireless effort in nurturing the minds of the next generation. Hon. Joseph Frimpong Bonsu, DCE for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly emphasized that while providing educational facilities, it is also essential to ensure that teachers feel appreciated and motivated to continue delivering their best. He reiterated that the scheme is a token to appreciate the tireless effort of teachers in the District. In addition to the launching of the best teacher award scheme, the Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu highlighted his effort to the educational sector in the District with regards to infrastructure. He noted that the award would be based on merit devoid of political affiliations to ensure fairness in the selection. He pledged his support to the scheme.
