The Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Ahafo Ano South West constituency, Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah in collaboration with the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly on Tuesday July 2, 2024 cut sod for the commencement of 1No. 6-unit teachers quarters for three communities in the Ahafo Ano South West District. The beneficiary communities are Ohiapae, Barniekrom Nyamebekyere and Muawano. At separate ceremonies, the District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon. Joseph Frimpong Bonsu said, welfare of teachers in the District is a priority to the District Assembly. He said teachers accommodation should not be a hindrance to teachers posted into the District to teach. He, however, thanked Mr. Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah for the initiative to provide accommodation for teachers in these communities and urged the people to vote for him in the December 7, 2024 general election to represent them in parliament for more infrastructural projects. The Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah in his speech said, he is fulfilling a promise he made to the three communities during the Parliamentary Primaries. He noted that, accommodation for teachers is key especially in the remote areas. He said this will motivate teachers to willingly accept postings to these areas. He implored all stakeholders to offer all necessary support to ensure the completion of the projects before December 7, 2024 as funds for the project are readily available. He gave each community fifty (50) bags of cement for construction to commence after providing them with blocks. Mr. Dappah called on the people to vote massively for him in the general elections in December 2024 to represent them in Parliament. The Ahafo Ano South West District Education Director, Justin Kwesi Gbotor expressed his outfits appreciation to Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah for his continuous vision of supporting education in the District. He said the teachers quarters will greatly help in the enforcement of teachers to report to their posted communities because of the availability of accommodation. The Chiefs and elders of the beneficiary communities assured the Parliamentary candidate for the NPP of their vote in the December general elections. They also assured him of proper maintenance to ensure maximum benefit is derived from the projects. Together with the DCE and the PC were the District Coordinating Director, Paul Atsu Agbezidor, the District Education Director, Justin Kwesi Gbotor, NPP constituency chairman, Kofi Acheampong, constituency secretary Patrick Afriyie, deputy constituency secretary, Hon Eric Agyakum, presiding member, Hon. Prince Oppong, the district works engineer, Alexander Kello, assistant director, Madam Abigail Addae, some staff of the District Assembly, some party officials and the media.
