For a better landscape management innovations, a 2-day stakeholder engagement to develop inclusive landscape management plan under transforming agriculture food system initiative was held at the Assembly Hall of the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly at Mankranso to co-develop and manage a sustainable landscape plan that harnesses resources and benefits in a transparent and accountable manner to generate resilient community and healthy ecosystems in the Ahafo Ano South West District. The aim of the dialogue is to co-develop an inclusive landscape management plan for the Ahafo Ano South West District. This is being implemented by International Water Management Initiative (IWMI), a nongovernmental organization. The 2-day workshop started on Tuesday September 12, 2023 and ended on Wednesday September 13, 2023. It included farmers, technocrats from the District Assembly and experts in landscape management. The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon. Joseph Frimpong Bonsu who was the chairman for the program asked all participants to fully participate and make input and contributions to get a solid implementable plan for the District. The team from IWMI on Monday September 11, 2023 visited farmers at Barniekrom, Mmrobem and Kunsu to know their challenges and factor it into the plan. The farmers from these communities numbered some challenges they are facing including lack of irrigation infrastructure, post harvest losses and bad roads.
