The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon Joseph Frimpong Bonsu on behalf of the President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has awarded 28 staff for their contribution and service during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the District. The ceremony was held at the District Assembly Hall on July 28, 2023. The Chairman for the ceremony, Hon Emmanuel Frimpong in his speech congratulated the Health Directorate and all frontline workers for their hard work and service for the people of Ahafo Ano South West during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Reuben Bedzera, the District Health Director in his address expressed his gratitude to the government for acknowledging the efforts and hard work of the front liners during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. He disclosed that out of 52 positive cases recorded in the district, one life was lost. Mr. Reuben Bedzera congratulated all awardees for their hardwork towards healthcare delivery in the District. The DCE for the District, Hon. Joseph Frimpong Bonsu on behalf of the President commended the awardees for their selfless effort during the pandemic. He noted that, the awards were been presented to them on behalf of the President to honor them for their service, leadership, passion, commitment, hard work and sacrifice to save lives and help the nation during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. He applauded them for their courage in the face of the pandemic and their efforts to save lives.
