Persons with disability are challenges in their endeavor to fit into the mainstream of society. More especially, those who face mobility challenges. They are bound to stay at one place not able to move due to their disability. Most are faced with financial problems / challenges or constraints which makes it difficult to get a mobility device (wheelchairs) to aid their movements. Women’s Health to Wealth through its project in creating wealth for women and girls through the promotion of healthy living, education, income generation and leadership development, donated 15 P.E.T Carts to the DSWCD/ AASWDA. The 15 carts consist of 5 adult carts and 10 children’s carts. The carts are to be distributed to women and girls who are having mobility challenges / issues. The carts are to aid their movement to enable the girls to be able to go to school and aid the women in their productive ventures. On Wednesday 10th May 2023, the Department gave the carts to the beneficiaries. The presentation was done by the Hon. District Coordinating Director, a Representative form Health, the District GFD President / Chairman, some Assembly members and some Staff of the District Assembly.
