A non-governmental organization, Women's Health to Wealth on Thursday May 4, 2023 presented medical items worth Two Hundred and Thirty Nine Thousand, Five Hundred and Twenty Nine Ghana cedis, Fourty Six pesewas (GH¢239,529,46) to the district health directorate of the Ahafo Ano South West District at Mankranso in the Ashanti Region. The items included ventilation bag, penguin suction bulbs, diamedica oxygen concentrator, CMI handheld pulse oximeter, tabs mebendazole, specimen container, blood glucose meter and test strips, urine test strips, digital BP apparatus and many others. Hon Joseph Frimpong Bonsu, the District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly handing over the equipment to the district health director said, the various facilities that will benefit from the logistics should put on the lense of maintenance culture to prolong the life span of the items donated to better healthcare delivery. He congratulated them for winning the award of best performing district in healthcare delivery for the year 2022 and 2023 in the Ashanti Region. He said for the country to develop, the citizens should enjoy good health since the society cannot develop without good health. Mr. Reuben Bedzera, the District Health Director for Ahafo Ano South West expressed gratitude to the NGO for their thoughtfulness to support healthcare delivery. "If you have clients and there are no logistics, quality healthcare delivery cannot be achieved" he added. He pledged that the medical supplies would be distributed to the various health facilities in the district. In attendance at the short handing over ceremony were Hon Joseph Frimpong Bonsu, District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Mr. Paul Atsu Agbezudor, District coordinating Director, Mr. Reuben Bedzera, District Health Director, Dr Benedictus Akpi, medical superintendent at the Mankranso hospital, health administrators and nurses from some health facilities in the district.
