The Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly on Thursday April 13, 2023 held its first District Planning Co-ordinatig unit (DPCU) meeting in the first quarter of 2023 at the Conference Hall of the Assembly. The core functions of the DPCU includes the provision of advice to the District Assembly in respect of its planning, programming, monitoring, evaluating and coordinating functions and also the co-ordination of planning activities of the Departments of the District Assembly. The chairman for the meeting Paul Atsu Agbezudor welcomed all members to the meeting and asked all members to bring out their views and opinions. The meeting looked at the minutes of the previous meeting and made the necessary corrections. Members adopted the previous minutes as a working document of the Assembly. After the consideration of the previous minutes and matters arising, all departmental heads presented their first quarter progress reports including challenges faced them within the period in question. The departments present included Education, Health, NADMO, Social Welfare and Community Development, Physical Planning, NHIS, Works, Accounts, Information Services, Environmental Health, Statistics, Fire Service, Forestry, Development Planning, Human Resource, NCCE, BAC and Budget Unit. Their reports covered activities undertaken in the first quarter of 2023. The chairman, Paul Atsu Agbezudor in his closing remarks expressed his gratitude to all members for a very lengthy but fruitful meeting, especially their objective suggestions concerning revenue generation to push the Assembly. He urged all heads of department to continue the hard work for the betterment of the District.
