The Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has constructed a modern police station for Wioso community. The facility comprises a spacious charge office, the station officer’s office, office for the staff of the Criminal Investigations Department, separate cells for males, females and juveniles, washroom and toilet among other facilities. The police station was financed with the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF). The District Chief Executive (DCE), Joseph Frimpong Bonsu who handed over the facility to the District Police Commander advised them to take proper care of it through regular maintenance. He noted that the provision of the new police station at Wioso will help curb crime on the Tepa-Mankranso stretch of the road. The Mankranso Divisional Police Commander, Supretendent Richard Boahen who received the keys to the facility, was full of excitement for the district assembly for giving them a police station on that stretch. He urged his staff posted to Wioso to work hard to protect people and property. Source: ISD
