The Chief of Kunsu in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Nana Agyemang Badu Duah I and wife Oheneyere Dr. Mercy Asiedu Agyemang Duah has spearheaded an initiative that promises to revolutionize quality healthcare delivery at Kunsu Health Center in the Ahafo Ano South West District.
On Tuesday July 30, 2024, the Chief of Kunsu and his wife accompanied by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Joseph Frimpong Bonsu, the Coordinating Director, Paul Atsu Agebezudor, traditional rulers, heads of Department and local officials, the Chief handed over medical equipment worth Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand (320,000.00) Ghana Cedis to the District Health Director to hand over to Kunsu health center.
Medical supplies included 1. 12 ultramodern remote-controlled beds 2. 3 "55" inches LED Television 3. 5 Fridges 4. 6 infusion stands 5. 12 mattresses 6. 3 air mattresses 7. 15 pillows
Speaking during the donation ceremony, the Chief of Kunsu said his wife visited the facility and realized that the beds at the health centre were in a bad state. He said that is what prompted him to support the health centre with beds and some medical supplies which will help to deliver quality health care to the people of Kunsu.
Nana Dr. Agyemang Badu Duah I urged the gathering to support the health centre in any way they can.
The District Health Director, Mr. Okyere, said the medical equipment will not only impact on the people of Kunsu but it will also serve the neighboring communities and beyond. He said with improved access to quality healthcare, residents can look forward to a brighter and healthier life. He pleaded to the stakeholder to help construct make ward for Kunsu Health Center.
The District Chief Executive, Joseph Frimpong Bonsu, in his speech extended heartfelt appreciation to Kunsuhene for the donation which according to him will go a long way to help the health delivery system in the District.
He promised that the District Assembly will do it best to support the health Centre with the construction of a male ward.
