Cleanliness increases our positivity; a dirty environment brings negativity and moreover makes a person lethargic.
The increase in filth in the Central Business District (CBD) “Kunsu” in the Ahafo Ano South West District ringed a bell to the District Assembly for an immediate attention.
The District Assembly through Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit organized a mega clean-up exercise at Kunsu on 30th April, 2024 to desilt gutters, pick up scattered rubber bags and bottles, sweep filths and collect all indiscriminate dumped refuse in the streets and market square of Kunsu.
The exercise saw the following dignitaries and institutions in attendance 1. The Kunsu Traditional Council 2. The District Chief Executive 3. The District Co-ordinating Director 4. Staff of the District Assembly 5. The National Democratic Congress (AASWC) 6. The New Patriotic Party (AASWDC) 7. The Electoral Commission (AASWD) 8. Local Council of Churches - Kunsu
The exercise started at exactly 6:00am with a massive turn-out. The Electoral Commission educated the participants through community information centers on how and why the citizen should approach the forthcoming parliamentary and presidential election with peace.
