The team gathered the needs and priorities of each Area Council to inform the plan's development, as per the guidelines from the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC).

The purpose of the engagement was to understand the specific needs and priorities of the Area Councils.

The NDPC have provided guidelines for preparing the medium-term development plan, which the DPCU will use in developing the plan of the District.

The MTDP aims to align with the national development goals and priorities, as well as the specific needs of the District. This process emphasises an integrated approach, where the development plan, budget, and spatial plans of the District are all harmonised.

The involvement of the Area Councils ensures that the plan reflects the priorities of the people within the District.

The Area Councils visited were Mankranso, Kunsu, Wioso, Domeabra and Mpasaso.
