As part of preparations to make office work go paperless, the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, hosted a successful training session on Smart Workplace at the District Assembly Hall.
The programme was organised by the Management Information Systems (MIS) Unit and the Human Resource Unit of the Assembly, in collaboration with the Smart Workplace Office under the Office of the Head of Civil Service.< /p>
The training brought together the staff of the District Assembly to build their capacity effectively using the Smart Workplace platform. The platform is a digital system designed to enhance communication, information sharing, and workflow within the Civil Service, making service delivery more efficient and transparent. < /p>
Officials from the Smart Workplace Office facilitated the session, taking participants through practical demonstrations on how to navigate the platform, accessing official documents, and engage with work processes in a digitised environment.< /p>
Speaking at the event, the District Coordinating Director, Mr Paul Atsu Agebezudor, emphasised the importance of technology in public service delivery. He noted that the training was timely and necessary to prepare staff for a full transition into a digital workplace. < /p>
Staff of the Assembly expressed appreciation for the opportunity, describing the training as an eye-opener that will help them adapt to new ways of working and improve productivity at the Assembly.< /p>
