The Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly officially opened the tender on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, for contractors to bid on eleven major development projects to be executed across the District.

The brief ceremony, held at the Assembly’s Conference Room, was attended by members of the District Tender Committee, representatives of interested contractors, and other stakeholders. In his address, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Abubakar Sedik, emphasised the government’s commitment to equitable development across all communities in the District. He noted that the projects, when completed, would significantly improve education, health, water, and sanitation infrastructure in the beneficiary areas. He further encouraged contractors to submit competitive and transparent bids, assuring them of the Assembly’s commitment to fairness and due process.

The projects open for tender include:

1. Construction of a 6-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Manhyia.

2. Construction of a 2-unit KG block with ancillary facilities at Asuabena.

3. Construction of a 3-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Oseikrom.

4. Construction of a CHPS Compound and staff quarters at Afresini.

5. Construction of two 8-seater institutional latrines at Afresini Primary & JHS and Kunsu Primary “B” & JHS “B”.

6. Construction of two 8-seater institutional latrines at Barniekrom Primary & JHS and Wioso D/A Primary.

7. Construction of a high-level water tank (50,000 litres capacity) with a mechanised borehole at Mankranso Senior High School.

8. Drilling and construction of one mechanised borehole at Sikafrebogya, and three hand-pump boreholes at Adiembra, Oseikrom near Asuokor, and Mankranso.

9. Construction of male, female, and children’s wards with an isolation ward at Wioso.

10. Construction of a 3-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Kunsu SDA Basic School.

11. Construction of a 10-seater water closet toilet at Mankranso.

Hon. Abubakar Sedik expressed confidence that, once completed, these projects would enhance social service delivery and contribute to the District’s overall development agenda.
