The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Sedik has led a high-powered delegation to Accra to engage key national institutions on critical development issues affecting the District.\r\nThe delegation, comprising the District Coordinating Director, Mr Paul Atsu Agebezudor and the Kunsuhene, Nana Dr Agyemang Badu Duah I held discussions with the Country Director of Safe Water to lobby for the extension of potable water to some underserved communities within the District. The engagement formed part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to address water challenges and improve access to safe drinking water for residents.\r\n\r\nIn a related development, the delegation also met with the Project Coordinator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to discuss several uncompleted GETFund projects in the District. The meeting focused on identifying ways to expedite the completion of stalled projects, thereby enhancing educational infrastructure and promoting quality education.\r\nHon. Abubakar Sedik reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to collaborating with traditional authorities and relevant institutions to ensure the timely delivery of development projects. He stressed that access to potable water and improved educational facilities remain top priorities for the Assembly.\r\nThe DCE further assured the people of Ahafo Ano South West that the Assembly will continue to engage stakeholders and development partners to bring lasting development to the District.\r\n# ISD\r\n
