AASWDA HOLDS ITS SECOND (2ND) ORDINARY MEETING YEAR 2021

Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly (AASWDA) holds its second (2nd) Ordinary meeting, held on 4th November, 2021 at 9: am at the District Assembly Hall, Mankranso.

The DCE welcomed all the stakeholders Hon. Presiding member, Hon. Member of Parliament, District Co-ordinating Director, Nananom, Hon. Assembly members, Heads of Department, Sectional/Units, Agencies and the Media to the fourth Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly of the second ordinary meeting for the year, 2021. The DCE thanked all the members for making it possible to attend this important meeting. He advise all members to unite and put more effort to the work of Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly for the progress of the District Assembly.

  • Reading, Discussion and confirmation of previous Minute
  • Matters Arising
  • Sessional address by Hon. DCE
  • Discussion of Reports of the Executive Committee
  • Discussion of 2022 Draft fee fixing Resolution and 2022 Draft Composite Budget
  • Any Other Business

Address delivered by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph Bonsu Frimpong during the second ordinary meeting of the fourth Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly.

Hon. Joseph Bonsu Frimpong said, he feel truly privilege and humble to have the opportunity to stand before this august House to present his first sessional address as the District Chief Executive of Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly.

First and foremost, he thanked the Almighty God for his grace and for making it possible for us to share this memorable day.

The Hon. DCE Said, he would also like to use this occasion to express his heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for nominating him to the high office of the District Chief Executive. The Hon. DCE also expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Dan Botwe, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, Hon. Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West Constituency; Hon. Johnson K. Adu, Nananom, and the Honourable Assembly Members for giving him the opportunity to serve the Chiefs and People of Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly and Ghana in general.

Hon. DCE specifically thanked the Hon. Assembly members of this Assembly for the awesome sureness reposed in him during his confirmation. He said, you indeed confirmed your trust in him by the 84.6% vote offered him during his confirmation.

The Hon. DCE said, there are series of progress that have been accomplished thereafter but the challenge was no DACF was allocated as at now but counting on the government after confirmation of newly appointed DCE’s. The subjects for the address will incorporate Security, Sectorial issues (namely Finance and Administration, Health, Education, agriculture, etc.) among others.
